This was confusing me in the past too, where this mod was quite new. There were no requirements and thus causing issues ingame where you couldn't really explain what was causing this issue.

Since it is also a part of your own mistake, you should consider updating your mod with this line inside your mod.info:

require=GEARCORE

This will for sure make people look for the required mod, as this mod here will not work without the prerequisites.
Also, include the link on your main page. That isn't hard either and saves time for everyone.
