Gmod addons are stored in steamapps/workshop/content/4000. In the bin folder of gmod there's a tool called GMAD that lets you extract them. In the future you should be able to use this to check addons yourself. That being said, usually if something is relatively popular it can be assumed it's safe.

This being said, the reason there was a problem in the past wasn't addons that were unsafe when people downloaded them, it was addons that the creators updated to be malicious. Which unfortunately there isn't any way of protecting against that.

With the help of the addons of this game, no one can somehow harm your computer or steal personal data, these are stupid stories. All previous "viruses" were just stupid spam with picture and sound.

Yes this addon is safe. But there is no actual way for a Gmod addon to harm your PC. The most an addon can do is make your game unplayable.

All of you people saying gmod addons can't harm your computer are wrong. All the creator has to do is have their script download something. But this goes for anything you download online. Never know what a file might be packing lol

dude first a malware scripts is like a virus but uh a bit does harm to your pc be carefull around the workshop because steam does a a bit good job but theres still alot of addon that is very dangerous to download i mean not dangerous i meant like makes your gmod cannot be played so yeah
