Kiln not working even after building it.
It keeps saying that there is no nearby built kiln. Please help

I know this is a couple of weeks after you asked, but it seems to be working for me. Have you actually placed it so that it became a building, or did you just drop the item on the ground?

Once created, you have to place it by right-clicking anywhere, selecting "Building", then "Kiln". Then you can place it. It becomes a container at that point.

I got it to work. It was just zomboid being zomboid and all of a sudden worked the day after even though i placed it properly.

This advice worked for me, I am very grateful because I was about to put the mod aside for that.

I have the kiln in my backpack/inventory but it doesn't let me place the kiln anywhere regardless. (Using the right click option on the ground) Is there anything else I might be missing?
