It's a pretty advanced and solid PC.
Turns out the reason for these crashes wasn't the bots, I figured it out a few weeks later, it was the map being used!
So my advice for anyone experiencing crashes after installing this mod is, first, obviously check what other addons you have installed, and second, what map you're playing on.
Testing on the default gm_flatgrass or gm_construct will make this very clear.
