Where are the instructions?

It is in the code itself. I figured that would be more clear. just look into each file and follow what is writted. Let me know if it is too hard to understand. I'm not really a coder so walking someone through how to do something I myself am kinda clueless at is a little tough :p.

is there a way to turn them?

you mean flipping to the other side when you place them? Sadly not right now. I really wanted that to be possible before I released it but I couldn't figure out a good method that didn't involve making it an entirely new item. Which I thought would be kind of annoying to do just so that you could see the other side.

no not flipping but roataing them there all on a horizontal plane. i want to get them vertical or diagonal.

yea that would also require a new item as far as I can tell. this was something the really irked me before publishing because the pillows are double sided and I really wanted people to be able to pick which side is displayed when placed in the world. I'm still thinking of ways to make it work that doesn't require anymore unnecessary additions of the same item.

that's one of my biggest gripes with the mod. Because of the way the game works each pillow texture needs to be it's own seperate item which means the code is just a big mess of copy paste duplicates with name changes. I had originally wanted it to be just 1 item that had multiple different textures it could spawn with.

sorry to bother but as this is my first time doing these type of things, where do I put my addon to test if it works ingame before uploading it to the workshop? I put it in the User/Zomboid/mods folder like the game suggests I do but the mod is not showing up ingame.

does your addons file structure look something like this [i.imgur.com]? and if so did you fill it out as instructed? Lastly since it is an addon it needs to be enabled in tandum with my mod.

yeah I figured it out, I accidentally put the wrong folder into my mods lol

yeah lol as a person who is also new to modding I was a bit confused on setting everything up until I just opened the original mod and just cross referenced the code to set it up. but my issues are just from my lack of knowledge on how PZ's code works

So I decided that I wanted to make an addon too so I cross referenced the only published addon and decided to give up and see if the texture I made works and puaking the addon for later
