My Recommended Changes!
I really love the concept of the character! The story, art design, and idea is wonderful! I'm worried however that he may be a bit too overtuned to really use. I love his concept revolving around tentacles, and I think something could really work with that, but not needing hunger and not holding too much of a drawback makes me weary of using it. The character has major upsides trading for a penalty to sanity, however once you've played dont starve for a while, sanity becomes a non-issue (just becoming a slight nuisance), and losing sanity is actually more beneficial for veterans looking for certain strong items.

I think this character has great potential to take advantage of the swamp, an otherwise generally underutilized part of the game! Perhaps the character could utilize the drops from tentacles such as tentacle spots (ie for healing) or gaining sanity around tentacles? Just something to encourage the player to want to live in the swamp would really make this character stand out as its own experience, and a breath of fresh air for players.

Another suggestion I have is to instead make the food stat more so represent the amount of tentacle inside of the character, having the character "push" monster meat into its body to combine with the tentacle (only being able to eat monster meat foods, as that's what tentacles are made of). This stat would decrease very slowly or none at all, but taking damage would have it drop a decent to large amount as if the pieces of the tentacle are being knocked out of them. This stat could also determine certain benchmarks for the strong perks the character has, such as only gaining night vision when the character has above a certain amount of "substance" (food). (night vision is a very overpowered buff, so it needs some sort of requirement or intense drawback!) Through this concept, it keeps the strong buffs that have been given to the character (no hunger/night vision) while making a fair drawback (fear of taking damage) which fits the character's design and personality.

I really love this character, their design is amazing, the idea is excellent and has tons of potential, but it just needs some changes here and there to better balance them and set them apart from other characters! I really hope I could help come up with some ideas, and feel free to add me on steam if you want any more insight! I'm an artist myself, so I always love helping with projects like these! :luv:
