what kinda meat do you give them?

Yeah, I wanna know, how to tame those dinos, using meat. I mean, I don't even know, how to give it to them. I already tried to tame Compy by giving it a meat (I killed some Dodo birds, before I tried to tame Compy), but that little rascal started nibbing on me instead, so I had to dispatch it with the shotgun, so it doesn't kill me.

i figured it out

you want to throw a grenade and it needs to direct hit the animal this will toggle a knockout animation then proceed to drop the meet infront of the animal and it will then eat it and be tamed let me know if this helped.
