Comms can usually become quite crowded with clear questions,instructions, or replies simply being missed by the crew. To this end, the use of job-based channels is highly advised on the ship. In the crew cabins, these channel designations are given, with buttons to help explain it to the crew as well. Everyone is to be on their designated channel, and if they need someone from another job discipline, they can change to that channel and commune there. If that channel is already crowded, they can then additionally change to an undesignated channel. When the ship enters combat mode, everyone is to swap to the designated combat channel and maintain radio discipline so that problems can be addressed quickly and effectively.

Due to the Captain being the only one with access to the emergency section of the ship, it is advised that he/she choose a "second mate" to help on the command deck. This is especially handy in the event where repairs are needed. Captain's beware of betrayal. If no "second mate" is assigned, the captain will have to manually fix hull damage in emergency room. There is a fixfoam grenade installed on the O2 generator to assist the captain with this in situations where he/she cannot leave their station. Remember to refill the fixfoam grenade after use. For the Captain's spare ID card (found in the safe to prevent others from stealing it), it is advised to put it in one of the ID card compartments before leaving (and locking) command room: If your ID card were to get stolen, you would need access to the backup. - Captain's logbooks with the CCL commands (in blue text) can be found in the desk below the ship command station, and in the captain's safe.

Security has been outfitted with a number of tools and systems to aid them in their task of keeping the ship secure. Setup for security is advised to be as follow: Security officers to be on cameras when not in combat, cycling through the cameras throughout the ship. This is much faster than manually walking all over to each inspection point. Security that is also actively patrolling can then act as a response unit when the camera team picks up anything suspicious. Security is to ensure comms discipline is adhered to. Explosives and materials to craft explosives are locked away, and crafters need security's permission to craft such items. Security should always be aware of what is being crafted on the ship. Medical supplies are to be monitored (including the medics), as the ship is outfitted with significant medical supplies that can quickly be abused. This can be a quick, fatal killer to the ship. ID cards of deceased bodies are to be handed to the captain for storing. Security has been given Log-books with basic ship systems and procedures to help in their tasks.

When the ship enters Combat Mode, the junction boxes are put under significant strain. Engineers are to be fully focused on repairs during combat mode. A minimum of 3 engineers is advised in engine room. The chances of fires are high, so take caution. To help with the repairs, each junction box is outfitted with "condition" monitors. Management of which box to repair and when will be essential. During Combat Mode, the automatic reactor controller is active, so engineers don't need to worry about meltdowns. If there are meltdown warnings in Combat Mode, there is likely foul play at hand.

The ship is compartmentalised, meaning only medics have access to medbay, and only engineers and mechanics have access to reactor/engines. Captain and security still have full access. This is not meant to be a system abused by stingy people, but rather to control the flow inside the ship more. If a "helping hand" is required, specific job classes can recruit assistants as underlings to help with whatever they need help with. The Captain has access to "Honorary Job ID cards" which give access to the specified job, which he/she can bestow on crew members if he/she sees fit.
