Also if you're okay with overwriting the actual base game sound files you can replace the files and run snd_rebuildaudiocache in the in-game console to make the game itself change the length it uses for the files so they won't be stretched or squashed, the only downside is that it's a real hassle to get things back to the un-modded state afterwards.
Yeah, I'm completely cool with modding the base game. I've tried running snd_rebuildaudio cache with the files being replaced but it doesn't seem to change anything. I still hear Louis' audio, not Silvers, outside of a handful of lines. Do I have the files in the wrong folder or something?
You have to replace the sound files in DLC1(for the passing) DLC2(the sacrifice) and DLC3(Original l4d1 lines)for the respective character(Louis is referred to as "manager" in the files), then boot up your game and type "rebuildaudiocache" into the console. It'll effectively make the new lines be the default for the game and work in versus as well.

I'm not much of a coder but I would love to play with this addon without the hard installing and most likely same for other people.
