Hired pirates taken hostage are preventing new contracts.
I'm unable to do anything but view the last contract with the option to cancel, but clicking "Cancel contract" does nothing.

Is there any in-game way to finish the contract?

Had this issue, found a solution : in the dev log, pick "kill kidnapped pawns"
