How to report CTD's
There are two options to help me when you have a CTD.

A) SHARE DE SAVE GAME FILE.
Go to C:\Users\YOUR NAME\AppData\Local\Feral Interactive\Total War ROME REMASTERED\VFS\Local\Rome\saves, pick the last save game file and send it to me. You can use https://www.sendspace.com/ (you don't need to insert an email. Simply upload the file and share the link.

B) ENABLE LOGGING.
In the Feral Interactive's launcher, go to "advanced"-> select "advanced options" and then write "enable_logging". Then play the game. If a CTD occurs, go to C:\Users\YOUR NAME\AppData\Local\Feral Interactive\Total War ROME REMASTERED\VFS\Local\Rome\logs and open the message_log.txt file. You have two options now: you can copy&paste the content (it's only necessary to share the last few lines) or you can send me the message_log.txt using sendspace (see above).

No idea what happened, Rome Remastered seems to work fine with other mods/vanilla. In any case, great mod! Except the CTDs, I love it!

Hi Boicote, had a Syracuse campaign going very smoothly and very fun, but unfortunately had a sudden crash when I ended my turn and now cannot load any of this campaign's recent saves. Here is the log: https://www.sendspace.com/file/u0zo3o

Thanks for the report.

Are you using any other mod? The log file shows this message:

"Attempting to load "./saves/save_(RR) Syracuse - Short.sav" however stored mods differ from the currently active mods.
Mods active on save creation:
Swagger's Blood Mod
Rome Retrofit"

Yeah Boicote only that one other mod "Swagger's Blood Mod" which is purely visual theoretically, and was running fine for the first 30 turns of the campaign before the weird crash and subsequently three saves not working, the one I sent you and two autosaves. I checked and I did have an autosave from turn 28 before a battle and thankfully this did load, tho unfortunately have to repeat a couple turns. But still confused as to what happened in the first place to those saves.

Just checked and they don't load even when I load only Rome Retrofit. Thanks for any help with diagnosing the issue because could jeopardize future campaigns if it is some underlying issue. Regardless I'll try and keep separate saves instead of always saving over the same 1 as a precaution should I have to rollback again.

That crash is very strange indeed. The log doesn't suggest any critical bug but I can't also load the save. I even tested it with older verions of the mod and it doesn't work. This will require more investigation.

I am having issues with CTDs when manually assaulting a settlement, I have the message log and the save file. Trying to assault the settlement on northern west africa. Let me know if I can send anything else. Previously I tried using my northern army in Gaul but I could only get it to work while autoresolving.

"Update 28 January:

The mod is currently broken if you decide to play with the new Rome Retrofit update. However, the mod is still playable if you also enable the Update 16 reverser. This should be placed above regular Rome Retrofit in the mod order.

If you are planning to play a campaign on Rome Retrofit, then please play Rome Retrofit on its own without this map."
