The kick attack also bounces creatures back by a lot. While small critters like Dodo's get kicked back very far, it also affects big creatures like Trikes, Stegos and even Paracers, even if the Utahraptor doesn't aggro on the last ones by default. Brontos seem immune to the kick though.
The kick attack knockback has been reduced in this most recent patch. I'll keep an eye out and see if I can scale it to drag weight too, if needed.
1. i don't know, if this intended or not, but in this screenshot-> https://steamuserimages-a.akamaihd.net/ugc/1816638643723787548/E6D83ADE44008D0463815A04F81B8FC88B2BA2EF/?imw=5000&imh=5000&ima=fit&impolicy=Letterbox&imcolor=%23000000&letterbox=false
Not sure if you can see clearly, but this is the maximum distance I can approach his face from the front.
2. I also saw in the videos with the battles that he has some problems with the attack (mainly with the bite attack) attempts on other animals from the mods, and sometimes with the vanilla animals and also with corpses. here is a video for an example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEA7TmSweHo&t=1s
(I hope everything is clear to read, because I am from Russia and am still learning the language and I hope that links works)
Thank you for bringing this up!
So the video with the battles was using an older version, that issue has been fixed since then.
As for not being able to get close to them, that's simply an issue with their hitbox, and one I'll add to the docket.
