Hi. This might be a dumb question, but I want to make sure. Do research outposts contribute to research independently from your active colonists (as in, your research bench can be gone and research will still progress - which is what I expected), or do they simply function as a boost to research speed, more or less? I'm pretty sure I have zero actual progress while my brainiac is not actually working.
