You have to make a chainsaw. You can get parts for a chainsaw rarely in the city construction areas. With the parts you can craft a chainsaw, then you can cut down a tree, you'll receive the trunk, craft logs with that, then you can craft plants and build a house.

You can also find an hatchet (I've found plenty in the city of Kahramaan). That will cut down a tree.

Base parts require logs. You can cut down a tree to get trunks, which with a hand saw you can cut down into logs. These logs can be broken down into planks for other buildables but for base parts, simply use logs. Floors are expensive so prepare for that.

So what is the most effective? I think the chainsaw but is difficult to build it. Thanks

the rescuesaw(chainsaw) is the worst way to do it. It's pretty slow in cutting trees and it takes way to long to craft one
easiest is to stick to a normal saw, since you need it anyway to turn the trunks into logs.

I guess the hatchet is faster in cutting trees down.

Axe is the best option to cut down trees and can be ugpraded.

u can obtain a hatchet in places like Sam`aa that little market left of the hospital building in Abu Al Kaba`er u`ll need a saw to turn trunks in to logs u can find one in safezone in the building behind Huey(the clothing guy) some alternative options for cutting down trees: machete, cars, saw or rescue saw with i dont recomend if u`re playing on server with durability as the rescue saw has way more important role in mid to late game progression
