You get golden versions of weapons in places where you would get the normal versions, you just have to get lucky when killing the zombies in those specific areas so that hopefully one of them drop the golden version of the weapon you're looking for or you have to get lucky by looking through lockers and crates in those specific locations.

e.g. Golden Zolashes can be found very rarely at military locations since normal Zolashes are often found there.

Golden COS1919s can be found very rarely at PMC locations since normal COS1919s are often found there.

Golden DF-357s can be found very rarely in Fort Knell since normal DF-357s can be found there.

Hopefully you get the idea, they're super rare to get for a reason, they're golden, also if you haven't noticed all golden weapons deal 1 more damage than their normal counterparts.
