Haven't checked a lot of the vehicle content from Workshop since - by default - Arid has building crates/barricades on them disabled. I would assume the vehicle ones would work to some degree since they aren't tied to being crafted, but added to the pool of spawns.
A lot of Mod Creators are probably going to be busy if they choose to make their content viable for Arid but I can see it being a worthwhile task since Arid is easily one of my favorite maps so far mainly for it's progression with the bunker keys and harsh dead zones. It'd probably be something as simple as adding Cloth/Metal Fragments and just the normal Plank to the acceptable crafting recipes but I don't honestly know too much about that topic to fully say how time consuming it could be.
TL;DR - Barricade/Furniture stuff doesn't work because recipes require different things than Vanilla, Vehicles probably work since they're only tied to spawn pools. Mod creators just need to add Cloth/Metal Fragments to recipes for Workshop content.
