the solution to this is to not exit the game during mid respawn or during mid cutscenes. I'll put a note for that in the mod description right now.

The game can't run without using async scripts, they are a must so I can't do anything else about this

I'm pretty sure the game preforms a save if you toss and pick up your wand, too-- if you throw it on the ground in a dangerous area (say, for example, the electricity room which is timed just right to hit you as you respawn), then you may get stuck in an infinite death loop softlock of doom
