Im currently playing a mountain vault run and never received any boxes yet, this could very well be the reason. Any workarounds for this yet?

I would get the notification that a supply drop was coming and if I was quick enough I could watch it drop in then I would hear that sound when a mortar shell hits a mountain "Plunk"

Yep I also observed it myself. Removed thick roof in devmode and it worked but made the vault vulnerable. Then I just moved the sling somewhere else. Pretty big oversight imo. It should target a beacon outside or something

Ahhhh, now that could be why I often get messages about the drops, but there are none.

My supply drops just disappear sometimes...
I can see the incoming crate , it hovers over the dropoff spot for few seconds, and then it disapears without leavaing anything.
I have no idea why, since it doesnt happen everytime. I always load around 10k worth of stuff, any idea why i get n emty crate i return?

Im currently experiencing this, 4-5 years in my vault drops landed near the marker, now all of a sudden its a specific vault wall tile they want to land on. Because of the overhead mountain the drops keep being destroyed and turned into rubble.

Going to necro this because its still happening, even with the green spot put outside the base

Has anyone been able to find a solution to changing the landing zone for the incoming slingshot boxes?

Is there any way to use slingshot if you dont have it in your main base?

Slingshot Drop off spot ain't doing whats intended, best bet is have a Horridly huge area walled off all around the Slingshot even 25+ tiles of free space ain't helping.

I'm having this issue too, last drop I even watched land in the middle of a forest, and no crate appeared.

just had the same thing happening - slingshot reward dropped on the one tile of collapsed rock, nothing appeared. When I reloaded it picked a different tile to appear, and I got some gold and hyperweave.
