Accessory Ideas
Thought I'd make a discussion for people to share their ideas.

1. Botkiller heads and should count as accessories.

2. Accessories can be added to weapons, similar to stat clocks, strange parts, or kill streak kits.

3. Only one should be usable at a time, to stop things from getting laggy.


Ideas for other accessories:

- A bayonet, spike, or axe blade for guns.

- A fancy grip for the handles of melee weapons.

- An ammo-counting display.

- A non-functioning flashlight

- A hanging lantern

- Industrial pipes or valves.

- A hanging skull (possibly with class-specific variants, like the Bat Out Of Hell?)

- Barbed wire


Class Specific Accessory Ideas

- For sniper, a garate canister, with tubes running into the the weapon.

- For heavy, a lunchbox attachment for miniguns.

- For medic, spare syringes/medical supplies

- For Pyro, a balloon or gas canister

- For scout, team-coloured sports tape

- For demoman, a flask, or tartan pouch

- For engineer, a high-tech thingamabob, with an antenna and control panel

- For soldier, an american flag

- For spy, a silencer

Additional ideas:

- Cooling vents

- Those sci-fi laser gun rings

- An old-fashioned video camera

- A walkie-talkie

- A fresh blood splatter on the business-end of melee weapons

- A little engine with an exhaust tube/chimney

- Jerry-rigged tape, and other DIY repairs

- An improvised tin-can/bottle silencer

- A stopped bullet

- Icicles hanging from the barrel

- A TF2-themed playing card (Some war paint designers have made excellent examples of this)

- A price tag

Another few class specific:

Scout: Ms Pauling's image on the scattergun

Soldier: A mini WW2 American helmet for the rocket launcher.

Pyro: A unicorn for the Pyro's Flamethrower

Demoman: A broken bottle o' scrumpy wrapped around the barrel of the grenade launcher

Heavy: A picture of his family on his minigun

Engineer: A hanging wrench on the barrel of his shotgun

Medic: A picture of Archimedes on the medigun

Sniper: A mini flag of Australia hanging from the barrel of his sniper rifle.

Spy: A picture of scouts mom hanging from the barrel of the revolver.

I like a lot of these! One note, I don't think the picture of Scout's mom would work on the revolver. What if instead it was what you saw when you opened the disguise kit?

Oh, also for Pyro, what about a unicorn horn? That'd look especially cool on the Backburner.

This is actually amazing, the thing is that things like these are so cool but valve will probably never add them

Maybe just rip off CoD and Do more modern "charms" for weapons like CS:GO had been planning for years. Another attachment idea would be a brace for a pistol, like, for example, the FK BRNO's stock brace.

Scout - a cap from a bottle of BONK! applicable to any scattergun or baseball bat

Soldier - a toy soldier action figure, applicable to any rocket launcher

Pyro - a small rubber duck, applicable to any of the 3 flare guns

Demoman - deactivated pipe bomb, applicable to the grenade launcher

Heavy Weapons Guy - A lunch box, applicable to any Minigun

Engineer - Robotic parts, metal, those sorts of things. applicable to any Wrench

Medic - Syringes/Medical supples. applicable to any medigun, syringe gun, or bonesaw

Sniper - Small jar of jarate. Applicable to The Sydney Sleeper.

Spy - Pocket watch, applicable to any revolver or electrosapper.

Multi/All Class:
Suppressor. Applicable to The Pistol.
Shotgun Rib. Applicable to, you guessed it, the Shotgun. (if you don't know what a shotgun rib is look it up they're cool)
