Meanwhile, burn is in an awkward spot cuz the Heart exists. You don't really need to care if some cards (poison thorns) or mechanics trivialize this optional fight, but there are solutions.
Idk if coding this is feasible, but burn could be lowered whenever the enemy attacks, although it'd be a pain to calculate how much you'll get attacked for. Or it could be a percentage reduction like weak but wear off faster. Would make it a lil better in the early game.
PS a year later:
Why is there a strictly worse gambler's brew? Squirtle's discard enablers aren't that insane.
There's probably some balance and rework that may be needed, but I'm only at hour 1 aand it's really fun
