Some friends brought the game on Epic and they don't have access to Steam mods.
I had been wondering, would it be possible to patch this for things like sandy and water zones a la Vanilla Plant Expanded: More Plants?
I have noticed that pawns seem to prioritize even the lowest priority 'soil' grow zone before any sand/water grow zones.
I don't think this is a bug per se, I figure this is more because these aren't "smart" grow zones - hence pawns simply won't farm these alternate zones 'smartly'.
Thanks again for the mod, even if this isn't possible - your work has helped keep Rimworld fun for me and I appreciate that 👍
I'm running a Darkness Colony and have deliberately allowed a Sun Blocker mech hive to force permanent darkness on the map. Therefore nutrifungus should grow outdoors, but the game won't even allow me to plant it outdoors. When I designate a growing zone it displays "Warning: Nutrifungus cannot live when exposed to light." and if I try to force a colonist to sow it by right clicking on the growing zone it displays "Cannot sow: unroofed".
Expected behavior: the game should let me plant nutrifungus outdoors, and let me live with the consequences if it happens to die when exposed to light.
Thanks!
For example I want to replace my rice farm with a potato farm, but there already are some rice sprouts growing. The ideal scenario would be if pawns planted the potatoes only after the rice has been harvested
