Metrostroi FUBAR?
Hello, I have been subscribed to metrostroi for quite some time and it had always worked for me just fine. With the new update however, metrostroi got broken in all sorts of ways. I am running a dedicated server on my computer running this collection 847188318. When I join the server, it all seems to work fine until I spawn a train. The trains don't have most sounds, the cabin is full of errors and my game crashes every 2-3 minutes with steam error code 6, no matter what I do. I found out, that unpacking the GMAs in my game addons folder fixes the errors in the cabin and some sounds work too, but the crashes make it unplayable anyways. I have already contacted Steam support, which redirected me to Facepunch, there I got redirected "to the devs". Also, reinstalling Garry's Mod doesn't help just as reinstalling every addon. Reinstalling Steam didn't do anything either. Please help. Thanks! (BTW I'm running Ubuntu 16.04 if that makes any difference)

P.S.: I can read Russian, but please don't respond in it, it takes me ages to read it! :P

Check, that you subscribed to all required addons(this pack and 6 addons). If you subscribed and they enabled in addons menu, you can try remove all -gma files from addons folder and wait, until GM download it

Thank you for answering. I did all you advised, I removed all GMA files and let gmod redownload. I did the same for the server. The trains now draw as they should. I am still missing some sounds though. Most notably the horn (tested on 81-71 MVM) and announcer. I also keep crashing. The message shown in the server console is:

STEAMAUTH: Client Freeman10 received failure code 6
Bad SetLocalOrigin(-17014.806641,-24585.980469,1232.263428) on gmod_hands
Dropped Freeman10 from server (Client left game (Steam auth ticket has been canceled)
)

The map I used to test this is gm_metronvl. Do you have an idea what to do with this?

Crashing is strange. Maybe gm_metrostroi is too large for your pc, or there is unexcepted gmod bug. Is there lua errors before crash?

I can't try gm_metrostroi, because the b46 version is bugged for me and I receive no ARS and the b50 runs at around 2 fps... I tried gm_mus_neoorange_d and just the same happened. In regards to LUA errors, the server console is littered with

Nothing more, just that. Doesn't say, what is causing the errors. Could that be, why it crashes? The server continues to run even after the game crashes. I regularly have to chase down the train with noclip if ARS doesn't stop it.

Just before the crash I was noclip searching for the train between stations and I crashed the moment I found it (damn it BTW!).

First - those empty [ERROR]s it's language system errors. Second - this ErrIDs is debug messages.

OK, what do I do about it? Can it even be fixed? Or is is something with Garry's mod itself?

Those errors do not affect to gameplay. I think, you have something with gmod. Try reisnstall it or cleanup(batch file in game folder)

So I reinstalled both Garry's mod and the DS. I only made it to the last signal of the depot before it crashed with the same message... Steam says the verification is OK. I don't know what more I should do. This is only happening with Metrostroi though. What else could be the problem?

AMD A10-6790K, Radeon HD 8670D, 4 GB DDR3 RAM, OS Ubuntu 16.04.1 kernel 4.10 x64

I guess you don't need to know about the HDDs, but here we go anyways:
120GB SSD, 1TB HDD, 80GB HDD

Hmm, 1 assumption - OS. Seems like engine bug on Ubuntu version of gmod(i know another user with MacOS with random crashes without any error) in unknown thing, that metrostroi use.

Is there any way to make Metrostroi work on Ubuntu or do I have to use Windows? Because it *used to* work. Should I just go back to a version that worked? Or is it caused by another stupid Gmod update?

Quick update: I now have 8 GB RAM and Radeon HD 7770 if that's any use...

IDK what causes that behavior, you can try check a beta version. If it not crashing we can try find problem
