Fractures need balancing, a broken limb is a death sentence and Gypsum (plaster) is an uncraftable resource, not to mention surgical kits are a huge waste of resources and is not even enough to heal a fully developed fracture, which will once again very rapidly worsen to the point of death. I figured laying on a bed would keep a fracture from worsening, but sadly that does nothing. Maybe we should be able to make a splint with some bandages? Use some steel to make a crutch to keep the injury from worsening? Plastic or rubber as a modern alternative to plaster?
