[BUG] Sudden Loss of velocity.
any orbiting ship i'm not in control of has a tendency to randomly loose all its velocity. it does not hit anything and no damage is taken. the ships orbit perfectly and consistently when i'm in the cockpit.

That sound like the stopping mechanism that's part of the engine. I put in something to hack around it, but it sounds like it may not be working in your case for some reason.

To test if that's the issue, you can open the Admin Menu with Alt+F10. Select "Trash Removal" in the dropdown. Then select "Other" in the second dropdown. Try setting the "Stop Grids Period" value to 0. Then select "General" in the second dropdown and click "Submit Changes".
