How does this mod compare to the current version of Galaxy at War?
Hey, I would like to know from the users from this mod and the develloper of this mod, how you guys think this mod compares to the Galaxy at War mod.
Ask yourself a few questions: What are the major advantages and disadvantages this mod has to the GAW mod?
Does it have more Units, but are those Units as balanced as in GaW?
Do the assets given and the maps given allow you to create good battles?

in multiplayer this mod has factions that have alot of units, instead of GAW, hardly anything in the multiplyer

Thats nice. Have you tried Galaxy at War? Better or worse units?

Quality over quantity. Far better animations and animation varieties. Better vehicles. Better sounds. Better FXs. Better lore commitment .Better multiplayer stats and units. Less weapons, maps and humanskins. But map works is soon.

Impossıba , but will have everything GAW has and more someday.

Id say the mod is better than GAW, Mainly as it has more units and better maps for said units but not only that the Walkers have a good walk cycle and a turn animation instead of GAW turning on the spot thing

That walker thing is a good point!

The problem is that GAW has community mods, so you can add more content making it have more variety, like new troops, vehicles, and maps.

I have played both and Id have to say that the Galaxy At War mod has more assets total with a lot of community behind it so it kinda has a development lead, if you want to make a highly detailed star wars map or just want to set up simple battles on one of the many maps that exist already then the Galaxy at war mod may be what you want. But personally i prefer the 40k star wars mod, reason one being the vehicles. To start off the walkers, some of what i wanted to say about them was already said but id like to add the fact that less often if not at do the walkers fall over when faced against rougher terrain. sometimes they plow through smaller vehicles and explode but this is not usually a problem, the vehicles also don't take flight at least not when there alive if at all. Vehicles also just play and operate better in the 40k version, the last thing ill say about vehicles is a lot of them will blow up completely after a set amount of time. It saves you time if you like to use clean up triggers in missions as well as it keeps paths clear. Next id have to say if your a fan of star wars, warhammer and halo the asv platform is for you, this is my biggest reason to why i prefer the 40k star wars mod because from all my searching this is the most effective way to get all three. I also think the sgi clones look better in the 40k mod but i could only think this because i have to run my graphics settings from mid to low. Idk if the AI pathing being better is because of this mod or my waypoint skills getting better but thought id mention it. Overall both mods are phenomenal and both are worth playing, i hope both creators continue creating and adding to their mods. I hope to see the day when the mods are both massive and impossible to chose between. Last note i think the star wars 40k mod needs more support in the sense of getting it more well known because i feel like most people just dont even know it exists, as well as in the sense of map creation. Anyways hope that helps.

Like an arc 170 strafe or a hyena bombing run and so on. Another perk to this is being able to run this mod and the 40k mod duke it out like for instance chaos versus the republic or guardsman vs the empire and so on. Which in my opinion really makes a game changer against GAW. Now if it was possible, A great move would be either porting this to GOH or remake it and adjust things to work with GOH's engine and finally give the steam community a star wars conquest with research tiers, many vehicles and vehicle tiers and so on. Trust me it would be a lot of work but I believe in you guys and it might be worth it and see what goes from there. :MCCHELMET:
