What do the weird little symbols next to the civics mean?
I can't figure it out

Those are just symbols showing how much that civic change troughout the game. According to the description in the mod screenshots:
"Blue coloured civics are "Identity" civics, the ones that are adapted to your empire identity.
Purple coloured civics are "Gameplay" civics, that provide substancial changes to certain mechanics during the course of the game, or have direct/indirect powerful bonuses.
Yellow coloured civics are "Flavour" civics, generally the ones providing jobs to the capital or per certain conditions, reinforcing your empire identity."

Can I get a source? I believe you I just want to know so I can learn more about the mod.
