Center of your colony?

What does center of your colony mean? To make sure its not center of map? I assume it's tried to home zone?

I'm doing mountain base and since i removed roof(with other mod) from my base so i don't get infestation now i assume am in danger of pod raid, will this work if my colony is in the bottom right corner of map?
