Some alien races can use it, but others don't?
I just noticed some races like Kurin and Ratkin can't use the shields, while others like Dragonian Prime and Rabbies can, i think it's because those races can use all "human" apparels.

I tried reading the guide on wiki but i couldn't grasp what files and how i should change stuff. I have no experience in modding anything above notepad numbers so can someone help on how to make it work for alien races?

I didn't want to use the discussions to ask for this but even though my steam account is full of games it doesn't let me comment.

Hi! You definitely have the right of it, race mods that use custom body types generally won't be compatible with mods that add normal human body apparel. I am unfortunately not very well versed in HAR compatibility, but maybe you could try asking on the Humanoid Alien Races Discord server for help? A lot of race modders hang out there, and they should be able to tell you how to create a patch that would enable apparel on different races.

dunno if it is still a relevant question, but race patches that let those races equip anything vanilla humans can equip will probably solve your problem. Try to search Kurin Apparel Patch as an example.
