Incompatibility with latest 1.6 update
Same as several people in the comments. Large permanent "Undiscovered" fog of war on map tiles, obscuring most of the current map tile except for a diamond shape in the center. Also somehow I can select it to be "mined" in the orders tab?

My error logs point to an incompatibility between VFE (Vanilla Framework Expanded) and Light's Out. It looks like they're attemption to patch on the same tick causing a variety of other issues, including threat points not being properly calculated on my map. Just incase anyone else is running those two together.

Also Sarcophagus Blood Moon causes errors to pop with Lights Out as well.

I don't have VFE. I've seen some other comments say it's a compatibility issue with Dubs Bad Hygiene.
