i do think that there was a pretty stale meta with powerpicks like bristle, late dusa, zeus, etc and my guess is that the map changes aimed to help both with game pacing and changing the meta. But christ, the visible map is absolutely minimal. How are you supposed to defend against a push when you already have no vision at night + 75% of your vision is taken up by trees. I guess this aims to just finish the games faster for the winning team from start? but then, if a team gets the leads in first 5-10 min, the rest of the game is pure burocracy to get the match finished.
