Hi - I setup a similar test scenario like i see in your screenshot and tested it out. I didn't get this bug through. Are you by chance using the VE Framework's "disable texture cache" feature in its mod options? (it's a red X for me)

I'm currently not. I enabled it, then disabled it again to be sure. Nothing changed
