Like I said, you just made it more difficult for yourself.
just try to kill the boss, his patterns are predictable and the Solar Eclipse mobs shouldn't be that big of an issue.
They defo need to do something to prevent an infinite eclipse if that's what overwhelming light is doing though there is an option to fix it albeit kinda tedious.
Disable Stars Above and re-enter the world, then clear the event like normal, Overwhelming Light can't be active if there is no mod to add it and prevent Night Time.

That's the reason I'm even here, I wanted to figure out if there's a way to reactivate this thingy, but it seems like there isn't. Welp, I'm not fighting the WoL, I want to keep my world like this. :v
Edit: There is a thing to change the NEARBY weather to Everlasting Light, but it's not world-wide, doesn't freeze time, and looks very odd at night x)
Maybe they could make it so that losing to Warrior of Light (WoL) would re-enable the Everlasting Light effect on your world proper.
