How to salvage rusted helmet
I see the items but there is no option to remove or do anything with them. Help?

You have to draft a colonist and tell them to attack the spot the rusted items are on. (I was also searching for the answer to this until I had an epiphany-what if it's like those mechanoid things? And thank goodness it works lol) Definitely could use a hint in the description about how to "salvage" though for sure.
