Are you sure it stopped growing? or are the plants just invisable, i have had that happen to me quite a bit where the plants are growing but just not there.
Make sure you have O2, lights directly above it as well.
Other then that i would say, try picking it up and placing it again.

I've had this happen, the only solution was removing and replacing all bays. Then one of the bays could not be replaced because an invisible uninteractable block was there. This made the ship impossible to work on for me and I ragequit and deleted the entire install folder and left the game a negative review that still exists today.

Unfortunately it's a base game problem and will happen with normal plants as well. I doubt RE devs can change it

I have also had this happen. For me it was with the release of 1.9.10. Thanks for the idea of removing and replacing the bays. I will try this.
