building materials?

Hello I am not sure where to place the building materials and what materials I needed?
I tried dropping them in, but nothing happens.

I'm not sure why there's locked metal crates in that loader unit as they're not supposed to be there, but you're supposed to obtain 5 "Construction Material Crates" which can be crafted from the materials listed on that info board next to the loader unit. You can also randomly find those crates as loot in wrecks. You need 5 of those crates placed in that loader unit to complete the event.
