Jaggy lines and no business lots
I've tried this as well as the High Quality Background mod from you, and both seem to do the same thing to the map display: roads are jagged and none of the business locations show. More specifically, the loops for interchanges are no longer round, curves are no longer curved but polygonal representations of the shapes and where I used to see the "box" of a business prefab location on the map, I no longer see them at all, just the icon for the business ID. I like to look for businesses I haven't delivered to or from and for bits of road I haven't covered and these mods make that impossible. I seem to be required to run this in order to use Promods Europe and ME at the same time but this, effectively lowered, quality is pushing me towards removing ME and going back to just using Promods Europe by itself... :(

That is because you are using the Zoom Crash Fix. If you want it to look normal remove that if you can. Sometime in the future SCS will have to fix the zoom crash because it will happen without mods. Until then the only solution (Unfortunately) is to reduce the map detail (Which is what the fix does).

I was under the impression that I had to use both the Zoom Crash Fix and a Background (either this or HQ) in order to use PM Euro with PM ME. Does this background do what the zoom fix does? Or am I stuck with lowered detail if I want to use multiple maps?

No. The background map mods only change the texture of the background map to cover a larger area, and with higher resolution than in vanilla. Either one of them can be used with ProMods, and they don't require any other mods.

If you are experiencing crashes when zooming in on the map, then the you can also load the Zoom Crash Fix, which will stop that crash happening but make everything look ugly as you showed. If you aren't getting that crash, don't use it.

Well, crud. I had started with using the Zoom Fix and HQ background, didn't like the lowered quality of the map so I took out the background. Interestingly, I didn't have the low quality with just the Zoom Crash Fix, so I thought things were fine until I crashed a few minutes later while looking at the map. So I thought I'd try this AfroEurasian map but was again back with the low quality in the map view. Very strange.

The crash when I wasn't using the background was why I thought it was the background causing the low quality...

Guess I will pull the ME map, along with the zoom fix, then. That low quality view is terrible! LOL

You should be able to use ProMods+ProMods Middle East without needing the zoom fix, at least last time I checked that was the case. So you should be good with ProMods+ProMods Middle East+ProMods Afroeurasian Background.

Gonna try without the zoom fix now and see what happens. Everything I had seen prior to using ME was that you need the Fix or you would crash. Hopefully it works without it!

Ok, it's crashing without the Zoom Fix. :( I guess ME just wasn't meant to be in my mix.

Thanks for the clarification on the mods, though! Always like to have to right info.
