It seems that when ASSmod is active, even at godmode 0, Melee attacks from NPCs deal no damage, I love your version of the ASSmod, though, so If you were able to fix this, it would be great. Thank you.

Hi, Player 3! I have heard this more than once but have never come across this issue myself or when playing with other servers who host my version of ASSmod. If you could provide video proof, or supply me with your list of addons, or even have me join your server, I would then have something to go on. I have never been able to recreate this "bug;" however considering others have reported it before, I do believe you: I am certain it exists.


Possible Solution #1:
When you are creating the server, is "God Mode" checked? If so, try creating a server with it unchecked.
Even if it is checked, in-game you can type "sbox_godmode 0" to disable it.
Try that and let me know.

Here is my diagnostic procedure. Please do this and let me know if the bug still occurs.
**NOTE: I AM ASSUMING THIS IS NOT ON A DEDICATED SERVER***

1) Launch Garry's Mod
2) Click "Addons" and while the "Subscribed" tab is active, click "Disable All"
3) Search through your Addons and Enable "Local ASSmod"
4) Quit Garry's Mod
--At this point, if you have any non-workshop addons in your \garrysmod\addons\ folder, please temporarily move them somewhere else.
5) Relaunch Garry's Mod (Quitting and Relaunching after a "Disable All" ensures proper mounting)
6) Start a two-player or more session. Note what checkboxes are checked (PvP Damage, Godmode, etc)

If this "fixes" the issue, then there is an addon conflicting with Local ASSmod.

If you provide a video for me, please show what happens starting from the main menu of Garry's Mod.

For now, I assure you: God mode is Disabled since the bullets of npcs or player can hit me. ONLY MELEE ATTACKS FROM ZOMBIES or the combines when you get really close to them deal no damage. your video shows the bullets, and yes, they do work. It is just melee attacks. Check that, and tell me if this issue hapens to you.

I am sorry for the confusion, I completely missed the word "melee" when I read your post!

I confirm this is an issue with Local ASSmod v1.2; No other addons are activated.
I will set up a fix at my next convenient coding hour.

Hey I don't know if anyone is experiencing this but I read most of the description but I didn't see a way to fix the Assmod from demoting me in singleplayer. I would enter my singleplayer map and it would say that i am not an Admin and not allow me to use almost anything with the word Admin in it and more. I actually deleted EVERYTHING in my addons folder and reinstalled G-Mod and it did't work .... Any ideas? I am completely open to mostly any suggestion.

The addon is disabled, or something is seriously wrong with your setup.

A friend of mine is a server host, how do i remove him?

Also, i made the server, and he is still server host, also on the other version of ass mod

Navigate to: \garrysmod\data and delete:
ass_config_client.txt
ass_config_server.txt
ass_rankings.txt
and the "asslog" folder.
This will reset ASSmod entirely and any auto-owner binds.

alot of time ass mod will reet the rank file after crasheing a few times (due to pac3)
