also why didn't you just read the description when you select it? it says exactly what it does.

XOR gates can be used for light switches with multiple switches, same for automatic doors, so you can open and close it on both sides.

If 2 powered inputs exist = No output.
if 1 powered input exist = output.
basically
0 = off
1 = on
2 = off

ok, person who made cpu here, xor gates have whats known as a truth table. it will go like this.

input | output
0 0 | 0
1 0 | 1
0 1 | 1
1 1 | 0

people like me love the xor. it is EXTREMELY useful. gl on your endeavours

if an odd number of activators are connected to a xor gate and are turned on the logic gate will turn on but as soon as none or an even number of activators are turned on it itself will turn off.
