Everytime I die when in singleplayer (PROBLEM FIXED, OLD ASS POST)
the camera sticks to where I died instead of where I respwaned.

is this a common bug?

Do you have a gore mod enabled while playing? If you do then it does that.
You just have to go to addons and disable the gore mod and it should work

I think I found out and then forgot about this, I was a teen when I wrote this.
so all these years later I'm coming back to say yeah I figured it out.

Because your gore or ragdoll mod edits the post-death camera view, which conflicts with the game mode's native camera view.
