Ever hear of the Flare Gun or Sharpened Volcano Fragament? Also, the name of one class is Demo. Ali Baba's Wee Boties + Charge n' Targe + Eyelander = NO EXPLOSIVES. Explosives are a key trait of Demo, yet they have a Demoknight set.
I think it would make a good survival weapon, such as you run out of ammo and you need to make your way safely but still do damage, Plus it is a fun weapon and I can see the pyro being the one to use it. The Only downside is im 99.9% Sure that valve wouldnt add this, because It does not suit 'tf2's style' Which has ruined alot of great weapons Ive seen On the workshop. Overall brilliant weapon though and Would you please make a video of it?
This works just like the whole demoknight aspect and the huntsman do. (Basically dead ringer too, the spy's vanilla build has him going invisible on command, when again the dead ringer requires a damaging blow to activate..) This chainsaw would just create a new subclass.
I agree that afterburn is a core part of the pyro. You could give this weapon bleed damage if you really want to keep it. Bleed damage is a bit more powerful, too; it cannot be extinguished.
And lastly, pyro already has unlocks in his secondary and melee slot that give you access to afterburn in case you really want to have it with this weapon.
