STEAM DECK
I play on a steam deck.
I bought the game exclusively to be able to play this mod but regrettably it is impossible.
Without the mod i can run a max unit battle with everything turned to ultra but with the mod a battle beetween 2 units a total of 27vs27 people and everything turned off or on low and the battle is running on aproximately 10 fps
Campaign side works just fine.

I have used proton 6.xx and i have used linux runtime and got same results

Does any good fellow have any idea how to make it playable?

Hey. I have a Steam Deck as well and I've figured what I could "remove" from the mod folder and keep running it smoothly.

Guess what? It's not even in the data folder itself, it's a freaking plugin that for some reason makes the battles crawl and stutter for no reason...
Go to:
"/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/workshop/content/885970/2487698001/" and delete the folder "truesky".

After that, simply reduce the lower section of the advanced settings, in particular the "Post processing" and "Quality" sections, just lower that as much as you can.
Everything else can be set to High (and the unit size to Ultra).

Worked like magic.

I'm getting +50 FPS in the campaign map and in the Battlefield, 30-60 no problem...

Hopefully they will patch this and maybe realize where the issue lies for a lot of people when it comes to performance issues with this mod.

PS: the only "issue" I have now is that the game crashes when (AND ONLY WHEN) I exit to Desktop.
