I have been facing the same issue since this version release. There are issues with the new huge map the devs need to look into. Also loading times are huge even though I have an absolute best pc so I hate thinking what others who are not so fortunate may even be going through. Some thing is wrong with the graphics in the new map. They seem kind of buggy and flickery, lack sharpness and causes pain in the eyes after prolonged exposure.

The fog is meant to be that dark yes. It's sort of a compromise between full-black undiscovered and the regular FOW, since we can't have full-black undiscovered FOW along with regular FOW because it causes graphical glitches.
We will look into what we can do though.

Also, why is Italy a desert in your map? Seems like you have an issue there, or is it maybe a lower graphics setting?

I agree as far as personal choice goes and i actually changed them in base game and RIS a while back but for some reason the change did not take effect 🤔

I really like it but my family tree dies in 120 turns can you implement a 4 turns a year mod or something that we can download that is working with this masterpiece

Hello, I have tried to search the mod folder in order to find where I have to make changes to make the campaign map fog of war lighter, but I didn't succeed.

Please, could someone of the mod team explain me what files I need to modify in order to make the fog of war lighter?

If someone's still interested, I have searched a bit the TWcenter threads, and I found out that putting the campaign map vibrancy to 0 (it should be 50 by default) makes the campaign map brighter (it's in the graphics settings menu).

The campaign mini map is still very dark anyway.
