Battle crashes
Any tips to lessen the frequency of battle crashes? I'm getting a crash once every two battles...


P.S.: Having quite some fun on the campaign-side, though :)

I'm experiencing the same thing. I save before every battle because I expect it to crash

I dont know the root cause of the problem, but for me the battle crashes happen everytime a ballista,Onager, Hvy Onager is involved

My game will frequently freeze up during battles, not always large battles, sometimes field battles sometimes sieges no identifiable reason why.

yeah same any ballista or onager crashes the game for me when I'm trying to siege

Currently siege weapons are causing crashes, it’s a known bug. Avoid recruiting them for now.

been thinking about buying the game and getting this mod but would like to have functioning playthrough :)

What about when you face an AI army that has siege equipment ? Auto resolve/console command ?

Is there anything else we can do like removing or restricting recruitment of Artillery, making it ridiculously expensive to recruit ?

playing as Cartage and trying to take Isle of Corsica (Romans) and it keep crashing.. whats wrong, other than 5 rams there is no sidge eq..

Hello. Friends, I play for the Bosphorus and ran into an error, throws it out in battle. Who knows how to treat? And it also flies constantly for Rome and Sparta. The only stable faction is Carthage.
throws an error Error: filename doesn't exist: data/characters/0.cas

Hey Guys, i have got the same Problem every 2 Battles in midst of the fight the game freezes and i get the Message: "Rome Remastered is not responding".
In my Case there is no Siege Equipment involved.
Im guessing my RAM is to weak but till im not the only one maybe it is something else?

That is a known issue with the siege equipment. It seems some ground types in battle maps are impassable to siege equipment (and artillery), and if you try give an order to attack something but the engine cannot move it to where it should, then the game freezes up. We will fix that in the next version.

With this mod a game crashes when I start any custom battle. Though I have 'unit color scheme' as realistic and Unit Variation is activated. I don't have any siege units in my army.
