Yes you need to get them from ammo trucks and weapon caches in outposts

So once you get them and put them in the arsenal does it permanently unlock them?

When you reach the unlock limit, yes. You can select different unlock limits in the parameters.

Ok so for instance we just took Berchtesgaden outpost but Im not sure what Im looking for in a weapon/ammo cache?
