Crap, thought I fixed that bug. :(
First off, are you on a normal dedicated server, or a non dedicated where your friends are tethered to you.
Then if you can, could you send me the savegamefile, from your friends who can't save the option, which is in."ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\SaveGames\Waypoints"

Edit: I have found the issue, I did a stupid, and didn't setup something correctly for the saving system, should work fine next update. :)

All placed way points are deleted and settings reset when logging out of the game. Some players on my server are also experiencing issues with placing way points. When placed the markers are up in the air floating around the screen. when approaching the marker it moves quickly underneath the player. For me the markers place correctly. My server is hosted by pingperfect.

The weird waypoint floating around the screen reminds me of an old bug I had fixed, do any of the affected players have screens bigger then 1920x1080, or 19:9 aspect ratio?

I see. I had thought I fixed the weird screen resolutions messing with the waypoints.
Could you somehow send me this Markers_Save file of the affected people. (Google drive link maybe). Also, is this dedicated, or that weird non dedicated thether thing?
Also, just to be sure, because I may have actually messed it up, are you on the mod version with the ability to hide the buff icon? (Someone in the modding discord brought to my attention, that I was updating incorrectly.)

Edit: I have found the weird resolution bug, and will work on fixing it.

We were all unable to hide the buff icon. Here are the links. I have provided the settings save file and the markers save file. let me know if there are any further files you need. These 2 are both from my own save data but i can get you the same files from the user with the resolution issue.

1. Those 2 links are the exact same.
2. Was `Markers_Settings_Save` its original file name.
3. What file path did you get these from? (The correct file path should be "ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\SaveGames\Waypoints", that sent file appears to be the mods definition file, since save files should be ".sav", not ".uasset".

Just to be sure. Is this save issue occurring for only you, or everyone on the server?

I believe I have fixed the messed up save files, currently working on fixing the weird waypoint issue, then I will update, sadly will have to wait for tomorrow, to test, and fix the said issue. :)

Awesome! and No worries, take your time, I have Been waiting for a new way points mod since coming back to the game. Your doing a good job!

To clarify, the placed way points were removed for all users. however, it was the first time the server was loaded with the mod running and it does appear that there was a scheduled restart shortly after, it could be possible that the server didn't get a chance to save? i can do further testing my self today and let you know what happens.

Doing some testing, then all should be good, thanks for the report, still no clue how or what occurred to break your savefile for my mod, but should be fixed when I update. :)

Hello, Just a quick update.

Firstly, thank you for the speedy responses and for getting the update out quickly!

Since the update to the mod i can confirm that the resolution issues are now fixed and all markers are displaying correctly for all players on my server. we are also able to hide the buff icon without issue.

Unfortunately, we are still having the saving issue. As soon as the server restarts all markers are deleted and settings reverted upon reconnecting to the server.

I will attempt a complete reinstall of the mod on the server and re download the files on my PC and see if it will help.

Thanks for the update. Good to hear, that some of the update worked, very weird that it’s still having issues, so yeah a reinstall is probably best. If the issue persists, I don’t mind you friending me, so that we can talk a bit faster, rather then a slow ish discussion board.
