Linux Save Crash Fix
sudo apt install mono-devel seems to fix the crashes on save on UBUNTU. Someone please confirm.

EDIT:
For ARCH the package is just called mono

for other distros please look for the mono-devel package equivalent

I can confirm this fixed the issue on my Ubuntu 21.04.

Thank you so much, I couldn't figure out why it was crashing.

For those on Arch, the package is simply called mono.

This needs to be called out in game, or the dependency needs to be removed.

This dependency may be present on Ubuntu, Im using POPOS and the other guy is apparently using Arch, which is the target OS for Steam i believe, so its not an issue if you're using the target OS for steam, so it wouldnt be called out but it sure would be nice if they said something I agree. Though since this is a fix for ubuntu im thinking not..

I was having the same issue. I'm using Gentoo, and emerging dev-lang/mono seems to have fixed it for me, as well.

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/mono says step one is to install mono in Arch, which strongly implies it is not a default install.

It's just a common package that many will have installed for some reason, particularly in gamer circles where .net apps are more common.

It is called out on the discord for the mod and its not needed in every case so us having to install it is normal would be nice if it were caled out though.

"Discord for the mod" is hardly mainstream, that it's been added nicely in the game is perfect.
