I received an email from SoundCloud® saying that my radio would violate their quite restrictive Terms of Use[developers.soundcloud.com] for their API.

The email in question:

I have checked the ToU and basicly these are the prohibitions that could apply for the radio:

[...] you must not use the SoundCloud® API, or any User Content accessible via the SoundCloud® API, for any of the following purposes [see below:]

Number 1:

[...] to create any kind of alternative digital content service, including: any service that aggregates and streams User Content from multiple users into an on-demand listening service, or any playback experience which aggregates and streams User Content with content from other services (e.g. SoundCloud with YouTube)

Well this radio is not SoundCloud only for sure...

Number 2:

引用自 Terms of Use：

[...] to incorporate, synchronize or use User Content with or into any advertisement, game, video, film or other audiovisual work, or any other application, unless you’ve obtained all relevant licenses, including synchronization licenses, from all relevant rightsholders

It's an addon for a game, so I'm not sure if it also applies. It playbacks songs that are public and that have been allowed to do so. I'm not sure how "or any other application" is supposed work.

Number 3:

[...] to create any webcasting radio app

Well this addon is a radio client so it's applies, I guess. But Jesus what kind of apps are supposed to be approved by them with this role? Isn't it a point to have an API for such services like SoundCloud to be accessible to from like a radio/media player?

They also want to have a "®" for the SoundCloud®-Link in the addon description, so I updated all descriptions with it.

To not lose the "SoundCloud®"-support I followed the instruction in that email and reapplied for a new review. I explained them the problems about the above roles I see in connection with this addon.

Let's see if it works.

Edit: It didn't work. They revoked my API key.
