[Help] Troubleshooting and bug reports
About
You you can report your bugs and problems with this addon here, but please mind the rules.

Rules:
  • Only report Lua errors, crashes and unexpected behaviors.
  • Read the addon description and the FAQ first.
  • Reports without details are invalid.
  • Any game branches OTHER than live, prerelease and dev are not guaranteed to work, as these are experimental branches that can be outdated sometimes.
  • Give addtional information if possible and asked for. When no information are given your report will be deemed as invalid accordingly. Addtional information can be:
    • Version numbers of game, server and addon
    • Branches of of game and server
    • Playback URL
    • Lua errors, error codes
    • Screenshots
    • Condump
    • Addon list or count of addons
    • Hardware and OS specifications
    • Ways to reproduce the issue

Like i said in my post it doesnt spawn the model or audio a shadow is visible and it is tangeable with the physgun and you can walk into it. i do have over 1000 add ons so it would help if you know some add ons that conflict with it thanks :steamhappy: i have the latest version of Gmod and im running it on a private 1 player server

If it does run without your addons enabled, while it doesn't otherwise then there is an addon conflict.

At 1000+ addons you also probably hitting a limit of the game. After a fixed amout of addons the game no longer loads additional addon code. Uninstall some of them and see if it works. I don't think that you even can use all of these addons, because of that limit.

I also recommend you to do a full cleanup of the server and your game.

How do I go about fixing a bug where the radio endlessly loops the first second or so of an external audio file (Dropbox was the most recent, but it happened with other file sharing too.).
There's no error, if I enable the display it just plays the first second, displays "Seeking" then loops back to the start, endlessly.

It's a known (but hard to reproduce) problem with the synchronization between other players. It can happen if other players can't play the file or the file is played by an other player is somehow different for them. It can also be a networking problem between the player and the server.

To fix: Try pressing the seek bar or respawn the radio.
When I got the time, I will try to fix that.

It happened really consistently for me, requiring about 10 respawns in-order to make it play, and it also happened every single time for one of my friends, but thanks.

When I use this addon, after putting a verified link, it crashes my game with the error "out of memory". Anyone got a solution?

Well it looks like a game bug.

What link are you trying to use?
What are your hardware and OS specifications?

because it still happens in singleplayer. How is this possibru?
I used any local files in my mymusic folder (Track1.ogg to mp3 files,all loop the first second)
if you need anymore info just ask me

edit:sometimes it seems to really be the connection to a server,i just joined a server and it fixed itself

In the server AND on sandbox It says the tool is outdated though I am SURE both my Gmod and the addon are up to date and another glitch is it works on another server I play.
Also Others can hear it apart from me

Your game version is outdated as it says. Switch to none/live, x86-64, prerelease or dev branch. The "chromium" branch is the last version of branch "x86-64" and outdated by default. There is no known addon conflicts.

Types of issues that were reported to me so far were:
- Caused by bad usage (most of the time)
- Caused by to many addons (see FAQ at Q1)
- Were actually bugs that are fixed now
- Were closed as invalid reports, because they had no infos even when asked to give more details.
- Were deleted/blocked because of bad manners (flamming, spam, etc.)
- Impossible to fix problems, such as YouTube problems
