when he taunts he should drink from the courage glass

I think this is could be an Alt. attack.
Medic drinks, speed multiplies and mark of dearh appears during effect time

Perhaps he could use the Stein as a health regen item, perhaps functioning like the heavy's dakalos bar but having to regen like the sandvich, giving up melee power for a bit for a last ditch self heal.

or instead of having a use the taunt could be the most hilarious taunt of all time by making the medic sing and dance i'm a little tea pot.

The taunt BY DEFAULT: Should be a HEALING TAUNT, for the Medic himself, or others around him? I believe he should drink to be healed, Like the KritsKrieg taunt... :)

The taunt should actually make a bloody great mountain horn appear in his arms, which he then blows and yells "OKTOBERFEST!!"

I like it too, but maybe it could provide a bad message about getting drunk.

but should it be a moving taunt? or a looping taunt? or a normal taunt? or a partner taunt?

We should make it a tauntkill, because the amount of weapons the medic can tauntkill with is insanely little.
here's my idea: Medic shouts "OKTOBERFEST!" and drinks from the glass, then whacking the glass into anyone in front. Drink sloshes out a bit.
