Should be a seconday IMO

No offense but scout uses pistols as a sendary gun not a smg. Want an smg use sniper.

I was saying SMG/Shotgun because I didn't know if it was meant to be a shotgun or SMG, not because I wanted it to be a secondary SMG. Besides, if it were an SMG it would be a primary.

in team fortress classic, scout had both a shotgun and a nailgun.
his shotgun was his secondary, but who cares.
give it nail projectiles and a faster firing speed than the pistol, and it works.
